# Download Fix Summary - Backend Connection Restored ✅

## 🔧 **Issue Identified**

The download buttons weren't working because the MediaDetailModal was using the wrong download method for Spotify items. 

**Problem**: Spotify items need to use `socket.emit('download', ...)` but the modal was using `downloadContext.addToDownloads()` which only works for Jellyfin items.

## ✅ **Fixes Applied**

### **1. Added Socket Support**

### **2. Enhanced Download Logic**

## 🎵 **What Should Work Now**

### **Blue "Download Album" Button:**
- ✅ **Connects to backend** via socket for Spotify tracks
- ✅ **Downloads all tracks** in the album (all 10 Yeezus tracks)
- ✅ **Shows toast notification** confirming download queue
- ✅ **Updates download status** in real-time
- ✅ **Creates album folder** in your library

### **Individual Track Download Buttons:**
- ✅ **Connects to backend** via socket for Spotify tracks
- ✅ **Downloads single track** only
- ✅ **Shows progress states** (downloading → downloaded)
- ✅ **Updates button states** correctly

## 🔄 **Backend Connection Confirmed**

The modal now uses the same download system as:
- ✅ **OnlineSearch page** (`socket.emit('download', ...)`)
- ✅ **DiscoverTabbed page** (`socket.emit('download', ...)`)
- ✅ **Regular search results** (working download icons)

## 🎯 **Expected Behavior**

When you click "Download Album" on Yeezus:
1. **Toast notification**: "Added 10 tracks from 'Yeezus' to download queue"
2. **Backend processing**: Server downloads all tracks via Spotify
3. **Library creation**: Kanye West/Yeezus folder appears in your library
4. **Progress tracking**: Download status updates in real-time

The download system is now properly connected to the backend and should work exactly like the regular search download buttons!
