# History — YellowMellow server timeline

- **Pre-2026-09**: Old Intel iMac (2015, 8GB) running Immich v3.1.0 (~102k photos), Navidrome, TunesPull, FileBrowser ("Quantum") behind Caddy/Cloudflare. Reached from Sam's machines via a flaky WireGuard tunnel (IP 110.20.6.1, hostname wg.yellowmellowco.ca).
- **Pending on old server (never applied)**: pg_dump symlink for DB backup + a few manual setup steps.
- **2026-09-20**: Upgrade decision — found a $440 M1 Mac mini (16GB RAM, 256GB) to replace the struggling iMac. Christie has a 1TB SSD + ~14TB working data to move. Goal: mini becomes the studio server for content production / store collab.
- **2026-10 (between)**: Mini imaged and configured remotely — user `yellowmellow`, SSH key access from Sam's machines, WireGuard peer (took over 110.20.6.1), FileBrowser on :8834, Homebrew + ImageMagick/SvtAv1 tools.
- **2026-10-19**: Live recon from SamBook (this session):
  - New ED25519 host key at 110.20.6.1 — verified as the M1 mini (hostname `Macmini`, arm64, macOS 27.0), old iMac key archived in `.agent/yellowmellow-old-hostkey-20261019.txt`.
  - Mini is fresh: no external drives, no Docker, only FileBrowser running. Nothing migrated yet.
  - FileBrowser reachable through tunnel (HTTP 200) — remote file transfer is possible before the store visit.
